I can be so ungrateful.
I met Tom Hiddleston this past Wednesday, so I should have been over the moon for the last couple days (which I was, don’t get me wrong) but I was also caught up in the fact that he was rushed and I didn’t get a picture or think to go to his trailer and properly meet him like many others did. I’ve been so bitter about it that it has almost ruined the experience all together for me. I was upset that I didn’t think to go to his trailer, and that he didn’t stay longer with us fans. And I began to doubt whether Tom was as great as we all think he is.
But of course he is, and I am just a selfish human being. Tom was obviously tired after a long day of shooting, and worried about fans taking pictures of him in costume when they really weren’t supposed to, so he could have very easily gone a different way to avoid the us. But he didn’t. Instead he came outside and walked directly towards us. He stopped and very politely told us that we couldn’t take pictures and he was very sorry. Yet he still took time to sign things for people, and was very kind and apologized yet again when he left. Then later (from what I read because I was too dumb to actually go to his trailer) after he had changed from his costume he stayed outside, even though he was exhausted, and took pictures and talked with the fans.
In short, Tom Hiddleston is as kind and wonderful and genuine as we all think he is, and I think it is important that we remember that actors work very hard and still take time to consider the fans, so we should not take that for granted.
